BECOME A MENTOR!
You are interested in the Bachelor Orientation Days from 30.03.23 to 01.04.23 for the summer semester 23?
Then we are looking for you! As the first semester support team for the Bachelor freshmen students at the WiSo Faculty of the University of Cologne, we need active support every semester to make the orientation phase a complete success. And this support could be you as a mentor of a peer group!
As a mentor, you should support our „WiSo-Gemeinschaftsfachschaft“ principle (all study programmes united and represented by one student council), which makes this event possible for all freshmen. Furthermore, you should have a certain sense of responsibility and trustworthiness. Of course, you should also be enrolled at the WiSo faculty. Furthermore, we do not tolerate discriminatory views of any kind.
We are looking for students of all programmes as mentors.
Always remember: The mentoring task is performed out of our own motivation and fun.

The application deadline is the 23th of March, 2023.
The mentor groups consist of 2 people (including at least one senior mentor). If you would like to be in a mentor group with other people, we will try to accommodate your wishes, but cannot guarantee it.
The mandatory mentor training will take place on Tue. 21.03.23 at 18:00 and on Fri. 24.03.23 at 16:00. You only need to attend one of the two dates, the trainings are congruent in content.
P.S.: Advertising any political activity during the orientation phase can lead to exclusion as a mentor, including future Bachelor Orientation Days.
P.P.S: The role of the mentor as a contact person and confidant for your freshmen is to be respected. Accordingly, first-year students are to be treated as if they were your charges. If you violate this principle (e.g. by having sex with freshmen) you may be excluded from the current and future Orientation Days.
